The system connects a binding alcohol check device to the key cabinet system, and obtains the driver’s health status from the checker as a prerequisite for being able to enter the key system. The system will only allow access to the keys if a negative alcohol test has been performed beforehand. A recheck when the key is returned also records sobriety during the trip. So, in the event of damage, you and your driver can always rely on an up-to-date driving fitness certificate.

This smart key locker includes a built-in breathalyzer to ensure only sober people take the keys and they return them while sober! Upon attempting to remove the keys from the cabinet, the breathalyzer would be activated and the user would have to blow a non-alcoholic sample to remove the keys. A positive test will result in the key being kept locked and an email notification sent to his manager. When the key is returned, the cabinet can be set to ask the user to provide another breath sample.

The key is placed in the receiver bar inside the cabinet, locking them in place. Only the user who is loaded into the system via biometrics or PIN has access to the specific set of keys to which he is entitled.

It is ideal for industries with strict or zero alcohol tolerance policies, and where driving or using machinery under the influence of alcohol would be dangerous or impair judgment for the user. Ideal for industries and employees such as:

Landwell Smart Key Cabinets provide access control, ensuring only authorized users can use access keys. The user blows into the breathalyzer and the system will confirm pass or fail. The system will refuse to release the key for the loser and lock it for 15 minutes. Those passes will open the cabinet and release the assigned key. All information is recorded in the report log of the system, and the administrator can view or export it when entering the system.

Scalable electronic key cabinets can hold from a few keys to thousands of keys, additional key strips and key positions can be added to the cabinet, or more cabinets can be added to the same system.
